In 2008 I found myself stuck and uninspired in my corporate job.  At the time my husband and I didn't have any children, but I already felt as if I was missing out on so much of my life while I sat under florescent lights all day long.

I craved the entrepreneur lifestyle and the thought of starting my own business excited me.  However, once I researched different businesses and saw what all went into creating my own thing, I realized this kind of endeavor took A LOT of TIME, MONEY, KNOWLEDGE and RISK.

These were all things I did not have.  I was not willing to put my husband and I in financial jeopardy simply because I hated my job and wanted to try out something new.  So I quickly tucked this dream away and figured this path was for "other people".

In 2010, my husband and I welcomed our first child into this world and I was content to be a stay-at-home mom.  In fact, I loved it!  I felt as if I was savoring every second of this life, even if money was really tight as we survived as a one income family.

in 2014, we had two small children and was expecting baby #3.  The gravity of our financial situation started to hit me hard.  My husband and I were always good with money.  We didn't have debt and we saved, but simple math showed us that we were not bringing enough in to ever get ahead in life.  We started dreaming about our future and the kind of life we wanted to give our children.  It made me sick to my stomach realizing that time was passing us by and we weren't moving forward into the life we wanted.

At the time I thought my only options were go back to work or start the long, tedious process of creating some kind of business.  It was several years since I let that dream die and I had no idea things were different now.  Women were moving to the online arena and starting businesses there with very little investment and risk.  I overlooked it for a long time, but it was when my husband and I took out a $10,000 loan to purchase a piece of land that I realized enough was enough.  Did I want these good things for my family or did I want to settle for doubt, skepticism and mediocracy?

Deep down I knew my answer.

August 2014 was when everything shifted for my family.  I started my online business with no experience, very little money to invest and not a lot of free time!  But I was able to quickly create a second stream of income for my family with what I had to offer. A few extra hundred bucks a month turned into thousands, and it wasn't long before I was matching (and exceeding) what I made in my former corporate America life.

Today I help other women do the exact same. (If you check out my website you'll see a slew of free training videos I put out). I know what it's like to hate going to work everyday, to crave the freedom of entrepreneurship, to fear risk and yet still have big dreams in life....I know what it's like to be a busy, exhausted mom who is still able to work a business here and there while I hang out with my kids.
